    “Der Wehrmutstropfen zuerst: Bis zum Atlantikstrand in Hourtin Plage sind es ca. 13 km; und leider wurden die Liveguards (wir waren im September 2015 dort) nach dem ersten Wochenende im September abgezogen und die Strandeinrichtungen peu a peu abgebaut.
    Auch die eher tourismusbasierten Einkaufs- und Sporteinrichtungen, sowie die Gastronomien in Hourtin Port und Hourtin Plage haben in der Masse im Laufe unseres dreiwöchigen Aufenthalts ihre Pforten geschlossen. Nächste dauerhaft offene Gastronomie sowie Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermarkt, Bäcker, Schlachter, ALDI) finden sich in Hourtin (ca. 2,5 km). Ein großer Supermarkt (E.Leclerc) befindet sich ca. 20 km entfernt in Lesparre-Mèdoc.”
