This very attractive barn conversion features a fitted kitchen in the 34 square metre living area. There are high ceilings throughout with exposed beams and original stonework, an excellent and spacious bathroom, and the bedrooms, a king-size and a twin are of an equally high standard. You will enjoy an above ground pool with decking (shared with another gite). The small town of Montendre is 3 kms away with cafés, restaurants and supermarkets and has a good weekly market. The nearest beach lake is 4kms away and has fishing, paddle boats, canoeing and play areas, and there is also tennis in the village, a 9 hole Golf course and there are three 18 hole courses within 70kms. Jonzac is 20kms to the North and has a great Water Park, while the first Atlantic beaches with fine sand are 65kms away. Try also to visit the lovely centre of Bordeaux .... or you can just relax in the garden by the pool and barbecue and children can enjoy themselves in the play area on the swing, slide and trampoline.

    “Heel mooi vakantiehuis met moderne faciliteiten. Vriendelijke eigenaars, die steeds klaarstonden om problemen op te lossen of te helpen waar nodig. Goede bedden, prachtige badkamer, goed uitgeruste keuken, etc. Ook mooie tuin, zwembad met terras en ligstoelen, barbecue, tuintafel, tuinkruiden die vrij te gebruiken waren,... Enig minpunt is, dat er geen airco in het huisje is. Wij hadden hier geen probleem mee omdat het niet zo heel warm weer was, maar bij hoge temperaturen zal dat misschien wel gemist worden. Verder moet je ook best een eindje rijden om een dorp/stad tegen te komen waar je wat tijd kan doorbrengen, maar dat vonden we niet erg.”
