Within walking distance of the fjord is this large, spacious vacation home with plenty of room for the whole family. The open kitchen is connected to the living room, where you also find the exit to the terrace, where there is sun all day. The one of the total of 3 bedrooms has a TV on which you can livestream via Chromecast.
After a great day of adventures, it is wonderful to sit in the jacuzzi or sauna and relax. In the fenced garden smaller dogs can slip through the gate.
Nearby is the Egholm Museum, where there is a unique collection of weapons from the 16th century to World War 2. On the peninsula 'Hornherred' there are many child-friendly bathing beaches. There is enough space for everyone to enjoy the outdoor life all year round, whether the sun is shining from the cloudless sky or the autumn storms are racing. For fishing enthusiasts, Vellerup Vig is a good body of water to catch pollack (dinghies are rented) and there are good opportunities to catch garfish on Roskilde Fjord at Crown Prince Frederiks Bro (remember to buy a fishing license). Frederikssund is a small cozy town with good shopping facilities. The town holds annual Viking Games, at the festive end of which you can join the table in Valhalla with good food and entertainment.
