Aberwitzigen Verkehr muss man allerdings abkönnen. Und Gelassenheit gehört unbedingt ins Gepäck.”

chance that the most famous and exclusive designer stores are concentrated in the three Trident ways (Via del Corso, Via del Babbuino and Via di Ripetta). Piazza di Spagna, the frame offered by ocher-colored buildings, Bernini's fountain and the stairway on which the Trinità dei Monti church stands contribute to creating a refined and eighteenth-century atmosphere. Ancient home of illustrious poets such as John Keats and Percy Bysshe Shelley, the square today represents a priceless cultural heritage. Located at the foot of the Pincio hill, Piazza di Spagna has always been the center of the cultural and tourist life of the city of Rome. Nearby, Piazza del Popolo is certainly one of the most famous in the world. The two twin churches Santa Maria di Montesanto and Santa Maria dei Miracoli, the Obelisco Flaminio (the oldest and second highest in Rome), and the two Valadier fountains contribute to creating a charming atmosphere. And, again, the church of Santa Maria del Popolo, built on the burial site of the emperor Nero, and on his damned soul, and the adjacent commercial premises, which have now become an integral part of the square and anciently frequented by characters dear to the history of Rome as Trilussa, Guttuso and Pasolini make Piazza del Popolo the cultural emblem of the "romanità". From here it is also easy to walk to the Trevi Fountain. Before leaving, don't forget to throw a coin in the fountain, it will ensure you return to the eternal city. If, on the other hand, you are in search of great love, perhaps of Italian nationality, then throw a second one, a third, finally, to be sure of getting married soon ...

Rione Monti is the oldest district of Rome. I like the idea that the houses are resting their foundations of ancient Roman buildings and walking around the narrow streets you still have the feeling to walk the narrow lanes of the Suburra.
