From Harlingen, the ferry goes to the Wadden Islands of Vlieland and Terschelling, which are definitely worth a visit. Only 5 km from the vacation home is Franeker, known from the Eleven Cities Tour. Make a visit here to the old town and the planetarium. 22 km from the vacation home is Leeuwarden, the capital of Friesland. On cooler days you can visit with your children the indoor playground Aeolus, which is only 5 km away and offers many activities. There is especially much to discover in the glass pyramid. The vacation home is located about 7 km from the indoor swimming pool Bloemketerp in Franeker.
